Helaas valt er weinig spectaculairs te melden over de ACC innings, die slechts 171 runs opleverde in 42.3 overs van de 48. Op het snel lopende kunstgras veld een relatief laag totaal, in te weinig overs.
Slechts 3 man maakten een start, maar konden niet doorzetten t.w. McInerney (34), Potdar (47, foto) en Kumar (36). De 80 runs wicketstand van de beide jongelingen mag toch zeer voldoende worden genoemd. Na 137/4 had er toch echt wel een beter totaal in moeten zitten, maar het middenrif en de staart lieten het afweten en produceerden er nog slechts 34 runs bij…….
HBS miste haar aanvoerder/wicketkeeper en batting kanon Visee, die met een hand blessure aan de kant moest blijven. Maar toch leken we na de lunch bij een stand van 74/5 nog een kans te gaan maken! Maar helaas kon onze aanval niet doorpakken en was het met name J.J.de Mey (71*) die de winst voor HBS binnenhaalde. Ook vorige week tegen VOC was De Mey met 92 runs de grote man bij de Hagenezen. Nu maakte HBS ons totaal voor 6 wickets. 5 van onze bowlers pakten elk 1 wicket, waarbij Arya met 1/23/10 en 3 maidens er het beste uitkwam.Ook nu gaven wij weer 20 extra’s cadeau waarvan 18 wides! (zie commentaar vorige week).
Volgende week volgt de laatste wedstrijd van deze halve (corona) competitie. Uit tegen Excelsior. Gaan wij nog een keer winnen ?
