To all parents of ACC, Rood&Wit, CC H'sum and CC Bloemendaal,
We are putting together a fantastic cricket tour of the Cotswolds, in the west of England, in the first week of the Dutch summer vacation, from 18th to 22th July.
This year we will be going with two teams (U17 & U14) thanks to the collaboration with Rood en Wit and Cricket Club Hilversum. We are really looking forward to seeing the youngsters shine on the grass pitches of clubs like Poulton, Stride, Cheltenham and Langford.
The Cotswolds is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is historically equally rich (Cirencester was as important as London during the Roman occupation).There are dozens of kids' activities besides cricket, with or without the unpredictable English weather!
The tour is virtually in place, but we are missing one vital element - YOU!
We aim to keep costs as low as possible,so the sooner we can book our travel the better. Accomodation has been arranged (see knowledge base) and parents are expected to book their own travel or share transport. Parents are also welcome to join their children on tour (we need at least one responsible parent per club) - though with Abel, Richard, Jan and myself present, we should manage.
